Best out of waste project

For best out of waste project we decided to do a Ganpati visarjan scene. We used an old card board box, some piece  of  old thermacol mandap as decorative.

From card board box we created a truck. For wheels we use thermacol rings that came with satin ribbons. I save a lot of discarded items for some creative use later, this came from that collection.

Few pieces of thermacol temple discarded by our neighbor were used for decoration.

It turned out to be really nice. Have a glimpse of same here....

Card - Quilling

Here is one more quilling card that my daughter made. It was made as a best - of -luck card for her cousin.

A paper photo frame

Here is another quilling craft my daughter put together for her teacher. This was a sort of parting gift as my daughter was moving from primary to secondary section.

I made a portrait drawing that resembled her teacher. She colored it with wax colors.

And then made a paper frame for drawing. Then we decorated it with quilled flowers and butterfly.

Fringed flower basket

I have been teaching quilling to my little one since she is in 4th grade. This time she surprised me by making double fringed flowers for her class teacher for teacher's day.

It was done using 2" paper strips and 5 mm quilling strips.


I gave her an old dry-fruit basket for arranging the flowers  neatly.

The teacher really liked it.
